Maren's Tip
Every enemy type has a weakness. Fire enemies melt with ice, ice enemies with fire. Gibdos are vulnerable to fire and lightning — stock those arrows!
Description
A Stone Talus corrupted by the Depths' pervasive Gloom, with dark veins running through its rocky body and Gloom pools forming at its feet. The standard Talus climbing strategy is complicated by contact Gloom damage — reaching the ore deposit on its crown drains max hearts with every contact. Long-reach Fused weapons (hammers, heavy weapons) allow striking the deposit without extended contact. Found throughout the Depths wherever Gloom concentrations are strongest.

How to Beat Gloom Talus
A Stone Talus variant found in the Depths, surrounded by Gloom pools. The standard climb-and-attack strategy works, but the Gloom covering its body inflicts contact Gloom damage. Use Fused hammers to strike the ore deposit from standing height if possible. Clear Gloom pools with Brightbloom Seeds before engaging. The ore deposit is on its back or head.
