Maren's Tip
Every enemy type has a weakness. Fire enemies melt with ice, ice enemies with fire. Gibdos are vulnerable to fire and lightning — stock those arrows!
Description
Writhing masses of gloom hands that erupt from the ground at night or in the Depths, reaching for Link with relentless pursuit. Contact drains maximum hearts permanently until healed at a Lightroot or with Sundelion food. Sprint away or fight with fire weapons and Sundelion-fused arrows for bonus damage. If defeated, they often transform into Phantom Ganon — a full boss encounter. Standing in their Gloom pools accelerates heart drain. One of TotK's most terrifying encounters.

How to Beat Gloom Spawn
A cluster of gloom hands that chases Link relentlessly. Sprint away or fight with fire weapons and Sundelion arrows. Standing in gloom drains your hearts permanently (until healed at a Lightroot). If it catches you, mash buttons to escape. If defeated, it may transform into Phantom Ganon.
