Boss Health Guide: Every Boss HP in TotK
Knowing enemy health values helps you plan weapon loadouts before major fights. This guide covers the health pools for all major bosses and mini-bosses in Tears of the Kingdom, along with damage planning tips.
Temple Bosses
These bosses have fixed health values regardless of when you fight them:
| Boss | Temple | Approximate HP | Weak Element | |------|--------|---------------|-------------| | Colgera | Wind Temple | 2400 HP | Any hit to ice rings | | Mucktorok | Water Temple | 1600 HP | Water (Sidon ability) | | Marbled Gohma | Fire Temple | 3200 HP | Fire (Yunobo roll) | | Queen Gibdo | Lightning Temple | 2800 HP | Lightning (Riju ability) | | Master Kohga IV | Spirit Temple | Construct-based | Construct limbs |
Note: Colgera is considered the easiest boss fight despite decent HP because the ice rings are trivially easy to hit with diving attacks.
Phantom Ganon Encounters
Phantom Ganon appears multiple times across the main quest:
- Hyrule Castle Phantom Ganon (first encounter): approximately 800 HP
- Gloom Hands + Phantom Ganon: The Phantom Ganon spawned after Gloom Hands has approximately 1200 HP
- Gerudo Town Phantom Ganon: approximately 1600 HP
Final Boss: Ganondorf Sequence
The final boss is a four-phase fight with dramatically increasing difficulty:
- Demon King Ganondorf (humanoid): ~3200 HP — standard melee/ranged combat
- Ganondorf with Secret Stone: ~4000 HP — he gains a Gloom aura and new attacks
- Phantom Ganon army phase: Defeat 5 Phantom Ganons rapidly — each ~800 HP
- Demon Dragon: ~8000 HP — riding the Light Dragon, attacking the 5 Gloom eyes
Lynel HP Scaling
Lynels scale with game progression (Blood Moon counter):
| Type | Base HP | |------|---------| | Red-Maned Lynel | 2000 HP | | Blue-Maned Lynel | 3000 HP | | White-Maned Lynel | 4000 HP | | Silver Lynel | 5000 HP | | Gloom-Handed Silver Lynel | 6000+ HP |
Gleeok HP Values
Gleeoks are among the most dangerous overworld enemies. HP by variant:
| Type | Approximate HP | Location Examples | |------|---------------|-------------------| | Fire Gleeok | 3600 HP | Bridge of Eldin, South Eldin Plains | | Ice Gleeok | 3600 HP | Tabantha region, Hebra snowfields | | Thunder Gleeok | 3600 HP | East Necluda, Akkala highlands | | King Gleeok (Fire+Ice+Thunder) | 5400 HP | Bridge of Hylia, North Hyrule Field |
All Gleeoks are weakest when their heads are separated from the body — target the glowing throat of each head for bonus damage. King Gleeok has three heads; knock all three down simultaneously (via Lightning arrows in a coordinated barrage) to create a sustained ground-level DPS window.
Frox HP Values
Frox are territorial boss-type enemies in the Depths:
| Type | Approximate HP | Notes | |------|---------------|-------| | Frox (standard) | 2400 HP | Common in Necluda/Lanayru Depths | | Blue-White Frox | 3200 HP | Rare, ice breath variant | | Obsidian Frox | 4000 HP | Hardest standard Frox; requires Bomb Arrows on ore nodes |
Mini-Boss HP Values
| Mini-Boss | Approximate HP | Notes | |-----------|---------------|-------| | Hinox (Red) | 1600 HP | Eye is weak point; mount and attack eye for bonus damage | | Hinox (Blue) | 2400 HP | Same mechanic, higher HP | | Hinox (Black) | 3200 HP | Eye shoot + mount for efficient kills | | Stone Talus | 800–1600 HP | Varies by variant; all have ore node weak spot on back | | Luminous Stone Talus | 1200 HP | Same mechanic, yields Luminous Stone | | Black Hinox | 3200 HP | See above | | Stalnox | 2000 HP | Eye must be shot out and attacked on the ground | | Flux Construct I | 2400 HP | Ultrahand the glowing core block to deal direct damage | | Flux Construct II | 3200 HP | Same mechanic, additional forms | | Flux Construct III | 4800 HP | Hardest non-boss enemy in the Depths |
Coliseum Boss Sequence (optional challenge)
The Depths Coliseum has a tiered boss sequence with escalating HP:
| Tier | Enemy | Approximate HP | |------|-------|---------------| | 1 | 4× Bokoblin mix | 400 HP each | | 2 | 2× Moblin + 2× Lizalfos | 600 HP each | | 3 | 1× Blue-Maned Lynel + 2× Red Bokoblins | 3000 + 400 HP | | 4 | 1× Silver Lynel (Gloom variant) | 6000+ HP |
Damage Planning Tips
- Most bosses have phases where they're temporarily invincible — save burst damage for vulnerable windows
- Flurry Rush during slow-motion windows deals approximately 3-5x normal DPS
- Dragon part fused weapons (especially Silver Lynel Saber Horn fuse) reach 55-85+ attack — most efficient single-hit damage in the game
- Against the Demon Dragon, each Gloom eye hit counts separately — use high-attack single-hit weapons rather than rapid-fire weapons
- Attack Up Level 3 food (4× Mighty Bananas + any filler, or other attack ingredients) increases damage by approximately 50% — always cook attack food before hard bosses
- Critical hits: Headshots with arrows deal 2× damage. Mounted melee attacks (after staggering a Lynel with a headshot) deal full attack with no defense reduction. Always mount Lynels after every headshot stagger.
