Merchants & Shops Guide — Where to Buy Everything in TotK
Merchants & Shops Guide — Every Shop in Tears of the Kingdom
Hyrule's economy is fully functional after the Upheaval. General stores, armor shops, arrow merchants, and specialty vendors are scattered across stables, towns, and villages. This guide covers every major merchant, what they sell, and when to prioritize them.
Shop Types Overview
| Shop Type | What They Sell | Where Found | |-----------|---------------|-------------| | General Store | Arrows, basic food, materials | Stables, most towns | | Armor Shop | Full armor sets | Villages, Gerudo Town | | Specialty Merchant | Specific materials (Poe, gems) | Depths, Tarrey Town | | Wandering Merchant | Random materials | Overworld roads | | Beedle | Bugs, arrows, shields | All stables (roaming) | | Bargainer Statues | Armor for Poes | Depths / Lookout Landing |
Stables — Beedle (All Locations)
Beedle is the roaming merchant who appears at every stable in Hyrule. His stock is the most reliable source of arrows and bugs.
Beedle's Standard Stock
| Item | Price | Use | |------|-------|-----| | Arrow (×10) | 35 rupees | Combat | | Fire Arrow (×10) | 140 rupees | Fire damage, lighting | | Ice Arrow (×10) | 140 rupees | Freeze enemies | | Shock Arrow (×10) | 140 rupees | Electric damage, towers | | Bomb Arrow (×10) | 175 rupees | AOE explosion | | Brightbloom Seed | 16 rupees | Depths lighting | | Giant Brightbloom Seed | 40 rupees | Depths lighting (larger) |
Tip: Beedle's arrow stock refreshes after 1-2 in-game days. If you're burning through shock arrows for Lynel farms, visit multiple stables in a circuit.
Stable Locations (All 13)

Lookout Landing — General Store
Vendor: Rhondson (after upgrading) Location: Lookout Landing (central Hyrule)
After completing the Lookout Landing quest chain, a general store opens. Early-game essential for arrows and basic food before reaching stables.
| Item | Price | |------|-------| | Arrow (×10) | 35 rupees | | Apple | 3 rupees | | Hylian Shroom | 8 rupees |
Kakariko Village — General Store
Location: Necluda Region (east of Dueling Peaks)
| Item | Price | |------|-------| | Arrow (×10) | 35 rupees | | Hylian Shroom | 8 rupees | | Acorn | 3 rupees | | Bird Egg | 12 rupees |
Armor Shop (Claree's)
| Armor | Price | Effect | |-------|-------|--------| | Stealth Mask | 500 | Stealth Up | | Stealth Chest Guard | 1,000 | Stealth Up | | Stealth Tights | 800 | Stealth Up |
The Stealth Set from Kakariko is one of the best early purchases. Stealth armor reduces enemy detection range, making shrine-hunting and Korok-hunting far easier.
Rito Village — Brazen Beak Armor Shop
Location: Tabantha Frontier (northwest Hyrule)
| Armor | Price | Effect | |-------|-------|--------| | Snowquill Headdress | 650 | Cold Resistance | | Snowquill Tunic | 1,000 | Cold Resistance | | Snowquill Trousers | 800 | Cold Resistance |
Essential for: Hebra exploration, Rito Village questline, any cold environment. Buy the full Snowquill set before heading into Hebra.
Goron City — Armor Shop & Specialty Store
Location: Eldin Volcano (north)
Armor Shop (Rogaro's)
| Armor | Price | Effect | |-------|-------|--------| | Flamebreaker Helm | 1,400 | Flame Guard | | Flamebreaker Armor | 700 | Flame Guard | | Flamebreaker Boots | 1,000 | Flame Guard |
Note: The Flamebreaker Armor (chest piece alone) provides enough flame resistance to enter Death Mountain without taking fire damage. The full set adds Fireproof status (prevents catching fire from attacks).
General Store (Kabetta's)
| Item | Price | |------|-------| | Fireproof Elixir | 60 rupees | Prevents catching fire | | Arrow | 7 rupees each |
Best deal in Goron City: Fireproof Elixirs are essential before you have the full Flamebreaker set. Buy a stack before ascending Death Mountain.
Zora's Domain — Armor & General Store
Location: Lanayru Wetlands (east Hyrule)
Armor (Dento's)
| Armor | Price | Effect | |-------|-------|--------| | Zora Helm | 3,000 | Swim Speed Up | | Zora Armor | 700 | Swim Speed Up, Waterfall Climb | | Zora Greaves | 700 | Swim Speed Up |
The Zora Armor (chest piece) is uniquely valuable — it allows Link to swim up waterfalls, which opens shortcuts across the entire Lanayru and Akkala regions. Buy it early, even if you don't upgrade the full set.
Gerudo Town — Best Armor Selection
Location: Gerudo Desert (southwest) Access: Requires Voe disguise or main quest completion
Armor Shop (Fashion Passion)
| Armor | Price | Effect | |-------|-------|--------| | Desert Voe Headband | 450 | Heat Resistance | | Desert Voe Spaulder | 1,300 | Heat Resistance | | Desert Voe Trousers | 650 | Heat Resistance | | Radiant Mask | 1,200 | Bone proficiency | | Radiant Shirt | 1,400 | Bone proficiency | | Radiant Tights | 1,200 | Bone proficiency |
Gerudo Secret Club (Password Required)
| Armor | Price | Effect | |-------|-------|--------| | Diamond Circlet | 1,500 | Guardian Resist Up | | Sapphire Circlet | 1,300 | Heat Resistance (night) | | Ruby Circlet | 1,300 | Cold Resistance |
The Gerudo Secret Club password changes per playthrough (found by overhearing conversation in town). These circlets are among the best single-piece climate solutions in the game.
Tarrey Town — Specialty Vendors
Location: Akkala Highlands (northeast, built via quest) Access: Requires "From the Ground Up" side adventure
Tarrey Town is the only place with a gemstone shop and ore shop:
Pelison (Gem Shop) Buys and sells gems. Best use: selling surplus gems for rupees. Do not sell diamonds — they're needed for Flamebreaker armor upgrades.
Hagie and Granté (Rare Armor) Granté sells rare/missable armor pieces that you may have sold or lost:
| Armor | Price | |-------|-------| | Soldier's Helm | 1,200 | | Soldier's Armor | 1,400 | | Soldier's Greaves | 1,000 | | Sand Boots | 1,500 | | Snow Boots | 1,500 | | Hero of the Wild Set pieces | 4,000 each |
Granté is essential if you accidentally sold armor. His prices are high but he's the only recovery path.
Depths — Bargainer Statues (Poe Exchange)
Location: Multiple Depths locations (start at Lookout Landing Statue)
Bargainer Statues accept Poes (ghost collectibles in the Depths) in exchange for armor:
| Armor Piece | Cost | Effect | |------------|------|--------| | Depths Armor (chest) | 150 Poes | Gloom Resistance | | Depths Armor (legs) | 150 Poes | Gloom Resistance | | Depths Armor (head) | 150 Poes | Gloom Resistance | | Mystic Robe | 600 Poes | Attack Up | | Mystic Hood | 600 Poes | Attack Up | | Mystic Trousers | 600 Poes | Attack Up |
The Depths Armor is the best armor for Depths exploration — it resists Gloom damage. Collect Poes from Depths exploration and prioritize this set before farming the Mystic Set.
Wandering Merchants
Wandering merchants appear on roads across Hyrule and sell random materials, usually at fair prices. They're not worth going out of your way for, but sell excess monster parts if you're overloaded.
Potential wares:
- Monster parts (Bokoblin Guts, Lizalfos Tails, etc.)
- Rare mushrooms
- Ore deposits (cheap)
Economy Tips
Best Arrow Value
Arrow bundles from Beedle (×10 for 35 rupees = 3.5r each) are the best price. Specialty arrows (fire, ice, shock, bomb) at 14r each from Beedle are standard — don't overpay from random shops.
When to Sell vs Keep
Sell:
- Excess opal, amber, topaz, sapphire (once armor is fully upgraded)
- Monster guts after you have 30+ of each type
- Excess elixir ingredients after stocking up
Never Sell:
- Diamonds (armor upgrades, especially Flamebreaker and Soldier's)
- Star Fragments (Great Fairy upgrades — you need 4 total minimum)
- Archaic armor pieces (can't recover them)
- Dragon parts (active dragon farming pays better than selling raw)
Rupee Floor
Always maintain a minimum 500 rupee buffer. Beedle's arrow stock refreshes and running dry mid-exploration is punishing. Arrow costs scale — a full restock of all arrow types runs 700-900 rupees.
