Rimewise Shrine Guide — All 7 Shrines in the Rimewise Region
Rimewise Shrine Guide — All 7 Shrines
The Rimewise region covers the northern Hebra snowfields — one of TotK's most hostile environments. Extreme cold, blinding snowstorms, and remote terrain make these 7 shrines among the most challenging to reach, even if the puzzles inside aren't always the hardest. Proper cold weather preparation is essential.
Preparation
- Snowquill Armor set (Lv2 cold resistance) — purchasable in Rito Village for 2,100 rupees total. The full set provides maximum cold resistance.
- Spicy/Warm food as backup — Spicy Pepper Steak or any cold-resist dish in case armor isn't upgraded enough.
- Stamina food — long climbs through snow-covered cliffs drain stamina faster than normal terrain.
- Bow + Fire Arrows — useful for melting ice barriers and igniting campfires in emergencies.

Efficient Route
Starting from Snowfield Stable (the nearest stable):
- Tenmaten Shrine — south of the stable, easiest to reach
- Kogyah Shrine — northwest, follow the road toward the snowfield
- Gadathor Shrine — continue north into the open snowfield
- Sae Oniwa Shrine — northeast, near the mountain pass
- Makurukis Shrine — east, hidden in an ice cave (look for the cave entrance on the cliff face)
- Igashuk Shrine — northwest, in the deep snowfield (use Tulin's wind gust to extend paraglider range)
- Tavuyak Shrine — furthest north, near Hebra Peak
Cold Weather Tips
- Level 2 cold resistance is mandatory in Rimewise. Level 1 (single Snowquill piece or basic food) is not enough — you'll take constant damage.
- Campfires restore warmth temporarily. Drop a piece of wood and a piece of flint, strike with a weapon to light a fire. Sit by it to restore body temperature.
- Swimming in Rimewise water is fatal — the cold + water combination drains hearts almost instantly. Avoid water at all costs.
- Snowstorms reduce visibility to near-zero. Use Brightbloom Seeds thrown ahead to mark your path, or follow the road markers (stone posts along the main paths).
- Paragliding consumes stamina faster in cold — plan shorter glides and have stamina food ready.
