Jarusum Shrine
Jarusum Shrine — Proving Grounds: Speed
Location: Hebra Mountains, northwest Hyrule Ability Required: Ultrahand Difficulty: Easy — speed test with basic construction
Overview
Jarusum Shrine is a timed combat/construction challenge — you must defeat three construct enemies as quickly as possible using fused weapons and environment tools. Unlike most combat shrines, efficiency is rewarded with a better chest reward. The shrine is completable without speed bonuses but rewards skilled play.
Preparation
- Bring 2–3 strong weapons (ideally with 20+ attack power)
- Elemental arrows (fire, ice) for quick kills
- Bomb fusions for burst damage
- No puzzle elements — pure combat efficiency
Walkthrough
Arena Layout
The shrine is a flat open room with three pedestals, each holding a Small Construct. The constructs activate sequentially — the second activates when the first dies, the third when the second dies.
Construct 1 — Speed Kill
- Rush the first Small Construct immediately. Use a charged spin attack with a powerful fused weapon to deal maximum burst damage.
- A fire or ice arrow followed by a full melee combo is the fastest kill method.
- Time target: under 10 seconds.
Construct 2 — Aggro and Kill
- The second construct activates mid-arena. It's slightly tougher — 2x the HP of the first.
- Close the distance immediately. Use Flurry Rush if it attacks first (dodge its opening strike, then Flurry Rush).
- Time target: under 15 seconds.
Construct 3 — Final Boss Mini
- The third construct has ranged attacks and moderate HP. It fires energy blasts from range.
- Deflect its energy blast with a shield parry (hold ZL, press A at impact) — the blast bounces back and deals damage.
- Or: close the gap with a sprint+slide, attack from melee range to prevent it from firing.
Time Bonus
If you defeat all three constructs under the time thresholds:
- Gold chest drops with a rare weapon or Zonaite device
- Standard completion gives a silver chest

Collect your Light of Blessing.
Chest Summary
| # | Contents | Location | |---|----------|----------| | 1 | Silver chest (standard) | Drops after defeating all 3 constructs at normal speed. | | 2 | Gold chest (speed bonus) | Drops after defeating all 3 constructs under the speed threshold. Contains a rare Zonai device or strong weapon. |
Tips
- Lead with your best weapon: Don't save strong weapons for later constructs — the first two should be eliminated fast with your strongest gear.
- Shield parry the ranged construct: The Construct 3 energy blast deals significant damage if it connects. Parrying it turns their attack into your attack for zero resource cost.
- Bomb fusions for burst: A sword with a Bomb Flower attached deals reliable burst damage with every power attack — great for efficient kills.
- Don't be cute: This shrine rewards aggression. Run straight at each construct and deal maximum damage as fast as possible. Evasive play wastes time.
- The gold chest is worth it: The bonus chest often contains a Zonai device or strong weapon not easily found elsewhere. Aim for the speed bonus.
