Jote Shrine — Rauru's Blessing

Location: Faron Region — southeastern Faron Grasslands, west of Lake Floria Coordinates: 0350, -2712, 0210 Type: Rauru's Blessing Shrine Difficulty: Easy — no puzzles, no combat Reward: Light of Blessing

Overview

Jote Shrine is a Rauru's Blessing shrine tucked into the lush southeastern Faron Grasslands. As a blessing shrine, it requires no puzzle-solving or combat — simply enter and claim your Light of Blessing from the altar. Its location makes it a natural stopping point when exploring the Faron region and a reliable fast-travel anchor for the lake district.

This shrine sits near a forested ridge above the approach to Lake Floria. The surrounding area is rich with Hylian Shrooms, Fortified Pumpkins, and Swift Violets — worth collecting on your way in and out.

Location Guide

Finding the Shrine

From Lakeside Stable (southeast Faron), head northwest along the forest treeline. The shrine's distinctive orange glow is visible from the ridgeline above the stable. Alternatively, activate the Popla Foothills Skyview Tower and glide southeast — Jote Shrine sits roughly 600 meters south-southwest of the tower.

Landmark approach: Look for a cluster of large stone formations on the forest floor southeast of the Meadela's Manpuku restaurant signpost. The shrine entrance is carved into the hillside behind the rocks.

From the Sky

If diving from a sky island or Skyview Tower, aim for the dense forest canopy at coordinates 0350, -2712. The shrine sits at a slight elevation above the surrounding grassland — you'll touch down near a rocky outcrop visible from above.

Walkthrough

Step 1: Enter the Shrine

Walk through the entrance arch into the short tunnel. No combat awaits — the interior is calm and fully lit by the altar's glow.

Step 2: Approach the Altar

The altar is directly ahead. Walk straight toward Rauru's statue at the far end of the chamber.

Step 3: Claim Your Blessing

Interact with the altar to receive your Light of Blessing. Four Lights of Blessing can be exchanged at any Goddess Statue (Rito Village, Zora's Domain, Kakariko Village, etc.) for either a Heart Container (+1 heart) or a Stamina Vessel (+1/5 stamina wheel).

Nearby Points of Interest

  • Lake Floria — Large lake 800 meters east. Contains Brightscale Trout and Hearty Bass for cooking. Underwater cave on the eastern shore hides a chest with a sapphire.
  • Floria Bridge — Ancient stone bridge south of the shrine. Underneath the bridge is a cave entrance leading to a Bubbulfrog and a Korok seed.
  • Lakeside Stable — Southeast of the shrine. Offers horse stabling, rumor board, and cooking pot. A side quest here rewards a Pony Point card for stable upgrades.
  • Faron Grasslands Korok Seeds — Three Korok seeds within 300 meters of the shrine. One in a pinecone formation on the ridgeline, one under a suspicious rock near the stream, one floating in a Korok balloon puzzle above the treeline.

Tips

  • Fast travel hub: Jote Shrine is the closest shrine to the eastern Lake Floria area — activate it early for quick access when farming Hearty Bass or exploring Lurelin Village approaches.
  • Weather note: The Faron region frequently experiences thunderstorms. Metal weapons and armor become dangerous in storms. Store metal gear in your inventory until the storm clears.
  • Climb the ridge: The forested ridge immediately northwest of the shrine has a concealed cave with a Brightcap mushroom cluster and a chest containing a small Zonai charge.
  • Combine with Eventide: If making a full Faron circuit, pair this shrine visit with Eventide Island to the southeast — take a raft from Lurelin Beach or glide from a sky island above the coast.

Region Context

Jote Shrine sits in the Faron Grasslands, one of Hyrule's most temperate and lush biomes. This region stretches from the jungle highlands near Lurelin Village north to the Dueling Peaks and west to the Zonai Ruins. The grasslands contain dozens of shrines, several stables, and rich foraging opportunities. Faron is also notable for its connection to the ancient Zonai — ruins of their structures appear throughout the region, and the Depths below contain some of the densest Poe concentrations in the game.
