Kimayat Shrine
Kimayat Shrine — Proving Grounds: Will
Location: Eldin Mountains, Death Mountain area Ability Required: Combat Difficulty: Medium — Proving Grounds trial (no weapons given)
Overview
Kimayat Shrine is a Proving Grounds shrine — Link enters with no equipped weapons and must find and use weapons within the arena. You'll pick up weapons dropped by defeated enemies and use them to clear successive waves. Self-sufficiency and adaptation are the core skills.
Preparation
- You enter with ZERO weapons — they are all removed at the shrine entrance
- Bring no weapons (they're taken anyway) — focus on food/elixirs instead
- Heat resistance for the Eldin approach (inside shrine is neutral temperature)
- 5+ meals
Walkthrough
Phase 1 — First Weapon
- The arena starts empty. A Construct I patrols nearby.
- Look for a weapon on the floor or a weapon rack — there's always at least one starter weapon in the arena.
- Pick it up with the grab button (A), equip it, and defeat Construct I.
- Collect all dropped weapons after each kill — the enemy drops its own weapon when it dies.
Phase 2 — Building Arsenal
- More constructs activate (2–3). Each carries a weapon.
- Keep fighting and collecting. Your arsenal grows with each kill.
- Fuse weapons together using Ultrahand where possible — combine two mediocre weapons into one better one.
Phase 3 — Elite Construct
- A final, stronger construct activates. By now you should have 3–4 weapons in your inventory.
- Use your strongest fused weapon for this fight. Ice arrows may appear as pickups — grab them.
Altar
When all constructs are defeated, the shrine clears and the altar activates.
Collect your Light of Blessing.
Tips
- Fuse immediately: As soon as you have two weapons, fuse them. Even combining two weak weapons makes a significantly stronger one.
- Weapon racks: Proving Grounds arenas always have weapon racks with 1–2 starter weapons near the entrance. Find these before engaging any enemies.
- Dropped weapons don't disappear: Enemy dropped weapons stay on the floor indefinitely. Finish the current fight before collecting dropped weapons.
- Prioritize ranged: If you find a bow and arrows in the arena, prioritize these for the harder constructs — safe distance attacks prevent you from taking damage while under-equipped.
- Exit and re-enter: If you die inside, you can exit and re-enter the shrine — but your Proving Grounds progress resets and the weapons you collected are gone. Come back better prepared.
