Tamusa Shrine
Tamusa Shrine — Rauru's Blessing
A Rauru's Blessing shrine in the Akkala Highlands — one of the region's remotest shrines, placed here as a reward for reaching and completing its associated outdoor challenge.
Location
Tamusa Shrine is located in the Akkala Highlands, east of the Akkala Citadel Ruins and north of the main road running through central Akkala. Look for the orange glow on an elevated rocky outcrop above the highland plateau.
Shrine Quest: Reaching Tamusa
Tamusa Shrine is a Rauru's Blessing — which means the real challenge is an outdoor shrine quest or a difficult approach, not the shrine interior itself.
If you found Tamusa unexpectedly: Look for a green Spirit Orb pedestal or Sky Island anchor in the area — many blessing shrines in Akkala require activating a mechanism or completing a task on the surface before the shrine appears.
General approach:
- Travel to the Akkala Highlands area, east of Akkala Citadel Ruins.
- Scout the elevated rocky terrain for any glowing pedestals, floating platforms, or NPC quest givers.
- Complete the indicated challenge — typically involves Recall, Ascend, or a combat encounter with a mini-boss.
- Once the outdoor task is complete, Tamusa Shrine appears or becomes accessible.
How to Reach
From Ulri Mountain Skyview Tower
- Launch from Ulri Mountain Skyview Tower and glide east-southeast toward the Akkala Highlands.
- Descend toward the shrine marker on your map or the faint orange glow below.
- The shrine rests on a rocky highland shelf — accessible on foot once you've landed on the plateau.
On Foot from Akkala Citadel Ruins
- Head east from the Akkala Citadel Ruins fast-travel point.
- Climb the switchback paths leading up the highland bluff.
- Watch for Lizalfos and Bokoblin archers stationed on the rocky slopes.
- The shrine is on the elevated plateau above the main fighting area.
Inside the Shrine
Walk through the entrance — the shrine interior is sparse. A circular glyph glows on the floor at the center. Walk to its center and a short cutscene plays as Rauru's spirit appears to honor your completion of the outdoor challenge.
Interact with the Rauru statue at the altar to receive your Light of Blessing.
