All Silver Lynel Locations — Tears of the Kingdom

Silver Lynels are the highest-tier Lynel variant in TotK — massive, aggressive, and the single best source of weapon Fuse materials in the game. Silver Lynel Saber Horns (+55 Fuse attack) and Mace Horns (+45 Fuse attack) are essential for endgame damage optimization.

There are 10 confirmed Silver Lynel spawn locations across Hyrule. All respawn on every Blood Moon.

Preparation Before Hunting

Minimum recommended gear:

• 15+ heart containers (Silver Lynels deal 5+ hearts per hit)
• 3 high-attack weapons (60+ combined attack) or 2 weapons + Ancient Blade
• 20+ food items (Hearty meals for yellow hearts, attack-boosting meals for damage)
• 30+ arrows (Bomb Arrows or Silver Lynel Guts arrows for stun)
• Flurry Rush mastery — the primary combat mechanic vs Lynels

Optional but powerful:

• Rubber Armor (if hunting near electric Lynels)
• Savage Lynel Shield for max shield surfing speed
• Tulin sage ability for aerial follow-ups after Flurry Rush

Silver Lynel Spawn Locations

1. Coliseum Ruins (Central Hyrule)

Coordinates: ~-0740, -1070, 0040 Lynel Type: Silver Lynel (Saber variant) Difficulty: ★★★★★

The Coliseum Ruins Silver Lynel is the most accessible high-tier Lynel — located in a walled arena that prevents the Lynel from charging indefinitely. The enclosed space makes Flurry Rush timing easier.

Access: South of Hyrule Castle, follow the road west of Hyrule Field.

Tips:

• The Coliseum walls prevent the Lynel from running — stay aggressive
• The arena has scattered weapons on the ground from previous kills — supplementary weapons available
• This is the best first Silver Lynel for new hunters learning the pattern

2. Akkala Ancient Tech Lab Approach (~2830, 1960, 0120)

Lynel Type: Silver Lynel (Mace variant) Difficulty: ★★★★☆

Patrols the rocky plateau north of Akkala Citadel on the road toward the Tech Lab. No enclosed space — the Lynel has full movement range.

Access: Head north from Akkala Citadel ruins along the main road.

Tips:

• Use the terrain — the rocky outcroppings provide elevation for bow snipes between charges
• Mace variant drops Mace Horns (+45) — excellent for spear Fusing

3. Hebra North Snowfield (~-3700, 2900, 0240)

Lynel Type: Silver Lynel (Bow variant — triple-shot) Difficulty: ★★★★★

The hardest Silver Lynel due to the open snowfield — no terrain cover, full charge distance, and triple-shot arrows are difficult to dodge. Cold resistance required (level 2 for Hebra).

Access: North of Hebra Skyview Tower, follow the snowfield north past Tabantha tundra markers.

Tips:

• Stay close to reduce arrow spread — triple-shot arrows converge at range, separate up close
• Call Tulin before charging for windblast follow-up after Flurry Rush
• The snowfield slope gives Link momentum — use it for approach speed

4. Eldin Highlands (~1740, 2210, 0320)

Patrols the volcanic foothills northeast of Death Mountain. Fireproof resistance reduces its fire arrow damage but does NOT eliminate it — dodge fire arrows regardless.

Access: Northeast of Eldin Great Skeleton, near the Goron mines approach.

Tips:

• The fire mane deals continuous burn on contact — do NOT attempt to shield block from the front
• Ice arrows one-shot stagger the Fire Silver Lynel — bring 10+
• The terrain has vertical rock faces — use them for elevation advantage during bow phases

Patrols the open spring area east of Zora's Domain. Electric arrows conduct through puddles — the spring environment creates electric hazard zones when the Lynel fires.

• Wear Rubber Armor for shock immunity — transforms the electric mechanic from deadly to ignorable
• The Lynel cannot cross deep water sections — use the spring channels to reset its aggro if overwhelmed

Patrols the northern Gerudo Desert near the Kara Kara Bazaar approach. Daytime heat requires heat resistance — use Desert Voe Armor or Chilly Elixirs.

Access: North of Kara Kara Bazaar, into the open desert plains.

Tips:

• Hunt at night — heat resistance not required after sunset, and the cooler air reduces preparation cost
• Desert terrain has dunes that slow the Lynel's charge — use them strategically

Blood Moon Loop (best 3-Lynel circuit):

1. Coliseum Ruins → fast travel, quickest kill (~3 min)
2. Faron Grasslands → south of Lake Hylia, pairs with Farosh farming (~4 min)
3. Hyrule Ridge → closest to return point (~4 min)

Total: ~12 minutes per Blood Moon cycle, 6 Lynel Horn drops per run (average).

Full 10-Lynel sweep (dedicated session): Start at Coliseum → Hyrule Ridge → Tabantha → Hebra → Gerudo → Faron → Necluda → Lanayru → Eldin → Akkala. Full circuit = 60-90 minutes, 20+ horn drops.

Silver Lynel Guts (arrow tip Fuse) deserve special attention — they add a significant hit-stun effect to arrows, creating openings that feel like mini Flurry Rush windows. 15 Guts arrows changes how all bow combat feels.

Silver Lynel hunting is TotK's endgame activity loop — farm horns, Fuse them to Royal weapons, hunt the next Lynel with those weapons, collect more horns. Once you have the Flurry Rush timing mastered and Rubber Armor equipped, Silver Lynels become efficient rather than terrifying.
