About Robbie
Robbie is the eccentric, sunglasses-wearing Sheikah researcher who provides critical Purah Pad upgrades throughout TotK. Initially encountered at Lookout Landing where he sets Link on the camera and Depths investigation quests, he eventually returns to the Hateno Ancient Tech Lab for the full upgrade sequence. He is the only person who can unlock the Camera function (required for the Sensor), Hero's Path Mode, the Travel Medallion, and Sensor+. His running personality conflict with Purah — each insisting they are the superior researcher — provides comic relief, but in truth they are equally brilliant and deeply co-dependent. Robbie also gives the Camera Work in the Depths quest, which requires photographing various Depths enemies and structures. He is married to Jerrin and has a complicated relationship with his son Granté.
