The Master Sword was damaged in the battle beneath Hyrule Castle and is now embedded in the head of the Light Dragon circling high above Hyrule. Step-by-Step Walkthrough

1

Learn the Master Sword's Location

Through the Dragon's Tears memories, you discover that Zelda swallowed a secret stone and transformed into the Light Dragon to preserve the Master Sword across millennia. The sword is embedded in her forehead.

2

Locate the Light Dragon

The Light Dragon circles high above Hyrule in a set flight path. Use Skyview Towers to launch yourself into the sky and scan for the dragon. It glows with golden light and is significantly larger than the other three dragons.

3

Land on the Light Dragon

Use a Skyview Tower near the dragon's flight path to launch into the sky. Glide toward the dragon and land on its back. You may need to use Recall on falling debris or chain multiple launches.

4

Reach the Sword

Walk along the Light Dragon's back toward its head. The Master Sword glows with a faint blue light, embedded in the dragon's forehead.

5

Pull the Master Sword

Interact with the Master Sword to begin pulling it free. You need at least two full stamina wheels (or temporary stamina boosts) to complete the pull. If you fail, eat stamina-restoring food mid-pull.
