Description

A mid-tier Zonai automaton that actively shields itself from frontal attacks. Flank around its shield to land hits or wait for Flurry Rush opportunities from perfect dodges.

Captain Construct II's primary weakness is Flank attacks — its shield blocks frontal arrow shots.

How to Beat Captain Construct II

1. Captain Construct II is a mid-tier Zonai automaton with significantly better combat AI than Construct I.
2. It actively blocks frontal attacks and flanks Link during combat.
3. Combat Pattern: Construct II switches between a ranged phase (elemental arrows in rapid bursts of three to five) and a melee phase (aggressive sword combos).
4. In melee range, it uses a three-hit sword combo followed by a shield bash.
5. The shield bash is the most dangerous attack — it deals damage and staggers Link, setting up a follow-up swing.
6. Flanking Strategy: Captain Construct II holds its shield toward Link at all times when in melee range.
7. Arrows fired directly at it will hit the shield.
8. Instead, strafe aggressively to its shield-side flank and attack from an angle the shield cannot cover.
9. In ranged mode, it does not raise its shield as actively — use this window to fire your own arrows at its head for stagger.
10. Dodge and Counter: Perfect dodge its sword combos to trigger Flurry Rush — the fastest way to deal damage safely.
11. After three hits from Flurry Rush, back off before the shield bash.
12. Two to three Flurry Rush sequences should defeat a Captain Construct II.
13. Drops mid-tier Construct weapons and more Zonai Charges than Construct I.
