Every enemy type has a weakness. Fire enemies melt with ice, ice enemies with fire. Gibdos are vulnerable to fire and lightning — stock those arrows!

Description

The Ice Aerocuda is a cold-adapted flying predator found above the frozen Sky Islands of Hebra and the approaches to Mount Lanayru. Its body is coated in a layer of frost that deflects standard arrows and chills anything it touches. It drops ice projectiles from altitude that create slippery frozen patches on the ground below. Fire arrows are the hard counter — a single fire-element shot shatters the ice coating and deals massive bonus damage, often killing the Aerocuda outright. A nuisance in cold regions where fire arrows may be in short supply.

How to Beat Ice Aerocuda

An ice-armored Aerocuda that drops frost bombs from altitude. Fire arrows are devastatingly effective — a single fire arrow strips the ice shell and deals bonus damage. Without fire, physical arrows deal minimal chip damage through the ice coating. Its frost bombs create ice patches on the ground that slow movement.
