Tabantha
Tabantha is the transitional zone between Central Hyrule and the frozen Hebra mountains — a geographic corridor that bridges temperate grasslands and arctic wilderness. The Tabantha Frontier is a dramatic landscape of deep canyon gorges, wind-carved rock spires, and lush valley floors far below the rim. The Great Tabantha Bridge spans the main canyon, a massive ancient stone structure that is one of the most recognizable landmarks in western Hyrule. Tanagar Canyon cuts deep through the plateau east of Rito Village, creating a chasm that rewards paragliding exploration. The Lucky Clover Gazette, a newspaper outpost near the west end of the Tabantha Bridge, serves as the quest hub for the "Potential Princess Sightings" investigation chain — one of the most content-dense side quest series in the game, taking Link to every stable across Hyrule. Rito Village at the northeastern edge of Tabantha is home to the bird-people, accessible via the frozen lake below and the winding path up the rock spire. The weather in Tabantha proper is cold but manageable without Level 2 gear on the lower terrain, though the wind becomes biting near the canyon rims.
