Maren's Tip
Every enemy type has a weakness. Fire enemies melt with ice, ice enemies with fire. Gibdos are vulnerable to fire and lightning — stock those arrows!
Description
The apex Lizalfos with metallic gold scales that deflect glancing blows. Its combat AI is the most aggressive of the Lizalfos family — it dodges, flanks, and uses terrain to gain height advantage for jumping attacks. The tongue lash that steals equipped items is faster and harder to anticipate than lesser variants. Gold Lizalfos Horn drops are premium Fuse materials, and the Diamond drops (though rare) make farming these enemies worthwhile. Found in Hyrule Castle corridors and the deepest Depths caves.

Flurry rush, ice/fire arrows depending on variant, headshots
How to Beat Gold Lizalfos
The most dangerous Lizalfos with golden scales and lightning-fast attacks. Its tongue lash and jumping slash combo is devastating. Dodge backwards from the tongue attack, then counter with flurry rush. Gold Lizalfos are masters of evasion — use Fuse spears for reach to catch them mid-dodge. Their tail drops are excellent bow Fuse materials.
