Pro Tip: Do towers first

Activate all Skyview Towers before tackling temples. Each launch reveals nearby shrine locations (blue glow) and fills your map. Towers are the single most efficient use of early-game exploration time.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Skyview Towers FAQ

How many Skyview Towers are there in Tears of the Kingdom?

There are 15 Skyview Towers spread across Hyrule in Tears of the Kingdom. Each tower covers a different map region, and activating all 15 will reveal the entire Surface map.

How do you activate a Skyview Tower?

Walk up to the tower terminal inside and interact with it. Some towers have obstacles blocking entry — such as mud, enemies, broken doors, or being buried underground — that you must solve using abilities like Ultrahand, Ascend, or Recall before you can reach the terminal.

What do Skyview Towers do in TotK?

Skyview Towers serve two purposes: they reveal a section of the Surface map when activated, and they launch Link high into the sky. From the air, you can glide long distances, spot shrines by their blue glow, and survey the landscape for points of interest.

Can Skyview Towers be used for fast travel?

Yes. Once activated, every Skyview Tower becomes a permanent fast travel point on your map. Warping to a tower automatically launches you into the sky, making them ideal for both travel and aerial exploration of the surrounding area.

What is the best Skyview Tower to activate first?

Lookout Landing Skyview Tower in Central Hyrule is the first tower most players activate, as it is part of the main quest. After that, Lindor's Brow and Sahasra Slope towers are excellent early picks because they unlock large portions of the map and are easy to reach with no difficult puzzles.
