Quest Overview

Veteran bridge engineer Jora is trying to restore the damaged Tabantha Great Bridge crossing, which lost two suspension anchor stones during the Upheaval. She has the replacement anchor stones but cannot lift them into position — each weighs over a ton and the bridge mechanics require precise placement. Link must use Ultrahand to lift and set each anchor stone in its socket while Jora guides the positioning.

Step-by-Step Walkthrough

1

Meet Jora at the Tabantha Great Bridge

Jora is at the east anchor point of the Tabantha Great Bridge, surrounded by the original anchor stone documentation — detailed construction drawings from the pre-Calamity era. Two anchor sockets on the bridge's west section are empty; the original stones shattered. She had replacement stones quarried and hauled to the bridge base, but they each weigh 800 kilograms. She cannot lift them. Ultrahand's range and precision are exactly what's needed.

2

Lift and Set the First Anchor Stone

The first replacement stone is at the base of the west anchor tower. It's carved to fit exactly in the lower socket. Use Ultrahand to lift it — it requires holding the grip for 8 seconds before it clears the ground. Jora guides the placement: "10 centimeters left, now raise 5 centimeters, steady — lock it in." The stone clicks into its socket. The bridge deck stops swaying on the west side immediately.

3

Lift and Set the Second Anchor Stone

The second stone is for the upper socket, 12 meters above the first. Lift it using Ultrahand and float it up along the tower face. The height and wind make control difficult — Jora shouts corrections from the tower walkway. It takes three positioning attempts. The stone locks in with a resonant clunk heard across the bridge. Both anchor points are now secure.

4

Walk the Bridge with Jora

Jora leads Link across the full bridge length in both directions, checking tension and stability at each suspension cable. The bridge is solid — no flex at the center, no bounce at the anchor points. She stamps Link's completion with the Bridge Engineer's Stamp from her seal kit: a bronze impression of the bridge's design that's been used to certify all bridge repairs since the era of the engineer who first built it. She also gives Link Amber and Zonai Springs from her materials cache.
