Maren's Tip
Every enemy type has a weakness. Fire enemies melt with ice, ice enemies with fire. Gibdos are vulnerable to fire and lightning — stock those arrows!
Description
Stone Talus dormancy postures mimic natural boulders so effectively that many players walk past several per area without triggering them. The ore deposit is always located at the crown (top) or one of the shoulder joints — environmental camouflage makes it hard to spot until the Talus rises. Hammer weapons deal a specific deposit-bonus damage multiplier not listed in the UI. Efficient farmers bring Ruby, Sapphire, and Diamond farming routes through high-density Talus spawn zones in Akkala and Lanayru.

How to Beat Stone Talus (Boulder Form)
The ore deposit location varies by individual Talus — check the body before climbing to identify the weak point. From range, a Bomb Arrow to the deposit face deals significant damage without the climbing risk. To climb safely: wait until the Talus winds up for its ground slam, then dash in and scale the arm as it comes down. Once on top, use a hammer-Fused two-hander for maximum ore deposit damage per hit. When it shakes you off, use a fan or Ultrahand-built platform to reach the top without climbing. For efficient farming, the Bomb Arrow loop from range avoids all melee risk.
