The South Lomei Prophecy

Reach the South Lomei Labyrinth

The South Lomei Labyrinth sits in the Gerudo Highlands, south of Gerudo Town. Approach via the Gerudo Highlands Skyview Tower, which lets you glide south over the snowy peaks. The labyrinth is a large rectangular maze structure half-buried in snow. Unlike the North version, the outer walls bear a carved prophecy in Old Hylian that hints at descending and facing darkness — meaning the shrine is below, in the Depths.

Solve the Surface Labyrinth

Enter the labyrinth from the north gate. The surface maze is simpler than the North Lomei version but features icy floors in sections that reduce traction and make combat difficult. Equip cold-resistant armor to avoid damage from the altitude. Use the right-hand rule (keep your right hand against the wall) to navigate to the center courtyard where the descent chasm awaits. Defeat one large Frost Construct guarding the chasm entrance.

Navigate the Depths Labyrinth

Drop into the chasm to enter the South Lomei Depths labyrinth — a mirror-inverted version of the surface maze entirely covered in Gloom. Use Brightbloom Seeds generously and keep armor on to mitigate Gloom drain. A series of Gloom Hands lurk near the western corridor — detour east to avoid them or sprint past. The maze's center takes roughly ten minutes of navigation following the mirror-reversal logic of the surface path.

Claim the Barbarian Leg Guards and Shrine

At the Depths labyrinth center, a stone treasure chest contains the Barbarian Leg Guards — the second piece of the three-piece Barbarian Armor set that boosts attack power. The shrine (Igoshon Shrine) is adjacent to the chest. Complete the shrine's internal challenge to earn a Light of Blessing. With this and the North Lomei piece, you are two-thirds of the way to the full Barbarian set.
