Depths Quest: The Lost Zonai Relay

Locate the Relay Station

Descend into the Faron Depths via the Faron Forest chasm and navigate west. The relay station is a circular Zonai structure with three antenna towers arranged in a triangle. It is partially illuminated by a single functional Lightroot nearby. The outer wall is intact but the three power conduits — glowing orange pathways on the ground — are severed and need re-energizing.

Repair the Three Power Conduits

Each conduit has a break point where the energy flow stopped. Insert a Zonai Charge into the conduit socket at each break to restore the flow. The conduits glow bright orange-white when restored. After all three are repaired, energy flows from the perimeter towers to the central terminal.

Activate the Main Terminal

The central terminal is a tall cylindrical Zonai console. Interact with it — it requires one Large Zonai Charge to complete the power-up sequence. Once activated, the relay station lights up fully, antennas extend skyward, and a looping audio broadcast in ancient Zonai begins playing. The scholar on the surface can now receive the signal through his receiver device.

Collect the Cache and Report

Behind the main terminal, a Zonai chest unlocks automatically when the relay activates. Inside are Large Zonai Charges and Zonai Device capsules. Return to the scholar at the surface relay point and report the activation. He rewards Link with additional Zonai Charges and a deciphered translation of the relay broadcast content.
