Find Elder Bludo on Death Mountain

Bludo stands near a cracked stone pedestal on the mid-slope of Death Mountain. The tablet shattered when a lava vent erupted directly beneath it during the Upheaval. He tracked the three largest fragments but can't retrieve them himself — the area is swarming with Igneo Pebblits that appeared after the eruptions. He asks Link to retrieve the fragments; each is engraved with part of the recipe.

Recover Fragment One — The North Slope

Climb to the north face of Death Mountain. The first fragment is wedged in a crevice above an Igneo Pebblit colony. The Pebblits nest here in groups of four — use Ice Arrows to stun each one before closing to melee. The stone fragment is heavy; Ultrahand lifts it clear of the crevice. The engraving reads the first third of the spice mixture ratios.

Recover Fragment Two — The Crater Rim

Traverse to the crater rim. The second fragment rests on a cooling lava shelf on the east edge. An Igneo Talus variant guards this area — smaller than a full Talus but armored with hardened volcanic rock. Target the dark ore deposit on its back with arrows; three hits knock it stunned. The fragment is near the lava edge; use Ultrahand from a safe distance.

Recover Fragment Three — The West Lava Field

The third fragment sank partially into a cooled lava flow on the west side. A nest of eight Igneo Pebblits surrounds it. Clear the nest with Ice Arrows and Bomb Flowers, then use Ultrahand to drag the fragment free. It is the heaviest piece — takes 6 seconds to extract. The engraving shows the cooking timing and heat control instructions.

Return the Fragments to Bludo

Bring all three fragments back to Bludo. He fits them together on the pedestal with practiced hands. The full recipe is intact: Goron Spice, crushed Smotherwing scales, powdered Fireproof Lizard, and volcanic salt, slow-roasted over a Dinraal-temperature flame for six hours. Bludo rewards Link with ten units of rare Goron Spice and five Fireproof Elixirs as thanks.
