Locate the Great Abandoned Central Mine

Drop into any Depths chasm near Central Hyrule — the one directly beneath Hyrule Castle works well. Use Brightbloom Seeds and a Depths map to navigate toward the massive central forge complex. The Great Abandoned Central Mine is the largest structure in the Depths, marked by enormous smelting towers and conveyor systems, all coated in Gloom. Approach from the east road for the safest entry point.

Clear the Gloom-Infected Constructs

The mine perimeter is guarded by several Gloom Constructs — larger and more dangerous than standard Zonai robots, with Gloom-coated arms that deal persistent health damage on contact. Use Gloom-resistant food buffs before engaging. Smash gloom nodes on their bodies first with arrows or precise strikes to temporarily halt their Gloom attacks. Clear all perimeter guardians before attempting to enter the forge interior.

Purge the Forge Core

Inside the forge, locate the central Gloom source — a cracked smelting core leaking Gloom into the facility. Use the on-site Zonai fans and flame emitters (fuse them together into a directed torch) to superheat the Gloom deposits and evaporate them. Three sequential nodes must be cleared: the intake valve, the smelting crucible, and the output manifold. Each clearing triggers a small Construct defense wave.

Collect the Reward and Restore Services

With all Gloom purged, the mine's auto-systems reactivate and a completion chest spawns containing three Ancient Blades and a Large Zonai Charge. The Zonaite smelting station and Crystal Refinement terminal come back online, allowing you to convert raw Zonaite ore into processed Zonai materials — essential for upgrading Energy Cells and crafting powerful Zonai devices for endgame builds.
