Step-by-Step Walkthrough

1

Speak with Paya about the Rings

Paya in Kakariko Village is coordinating with a researcher named Tauro who arrived to study the floating stone rings. Speak with Paya and then find Tauro near the base of the largest ring to begin the investigation.

2

Climb and Examine the First Ring

Scale the floating ring using Ascend or climbing gear. Tauro needs close-up photographs of the Zonai inscriptions carved into the ring's inner surface. Use the Camera Purah Pad app to photograph all four inscription panels.

3

Research the Inscriptions

Return to Tauro with the photographs. He cross-references them with Sheikah archives kept in the Kakariko library. The inscriptions describe a Zonai ritual site used for communicating across time.

4

Activate the Stone Tablet

Tauro has found a stone tablet beneath the ring site that requires a specific Zonai energy input. Use a Zonai Battery to power the tablet — it reveals a holographic map showing all six Ring Ruins locations across Hyrule.

5

Report to Impa

Share the findings with Impa, who has arrived in Kakariko after the geoglyph investigation. She connects the ring ruins to the Dragon's Tears questline and rewards Link with a key item needed for later geoglyph exploration.
