Blue Roan
About Blue Roan
A blue-gray roan horse with a distinctly cool toned coat that shifts silver in bright light. The Blue Roan is one of the rarer wild horse coat patterns in Tears of the Kingdom, found primarily in the cooler northern regions of Hyrule. It carries strong stamina stats that make it ideal for long cross-country journeys without the need to stop and rest.
Where to Find Blue Roan
Detailed Location
Snowfields Stable vicinity and the open highland meadows east of Rito Village. Also reported in small numbers near Tabantha Frontier grazing grounds. Look for the distinctive silvery-blue sheen in low light — Coordinates roughly (-2200, 300, 400).
How to Tame Blue Roan
1
Equip the Snowquill Set for the cold climate — hypothermia impairs your ability to chase or mount.
2
Blue Roans are wary — stay downwind and approach from the east to use terrain shadows.
3
Soothe 5 times. Wild temperament means faster stamina drain during taming.
4
Register at Snowfields Stable or Tabantha Bridge Stable.
