Cugukaram stands at the center of an extraordinary Zonai pillar field in the central Gerudo Depths, corresponding to Marakuguc Shrine on the surface in the Gerudo Desert. Forty-plus Zonai pillars arranged in a grid pattern still emit faint amber energy from their capstone crystals — the entire grid represents a functioning-but-dormant Zonai power distribution network whose purpose is unknown. Activating the lightroot briefly powers up the entire pillar grid, creating a spectacular ambient light show and temporarily enabling Zonai device activation throughout the 200-meter grid radius. A Gibdo nest is embedded in the pillar field's northeast quadrant — Gibdos use the maze-like pillar rows as patrol corridors, making them difficult to track and easy to stumble into. The rare Zonaite vein here is exceptional: it runs as a continuous seam along the western pillar row for 80 meters, yielding 20+ Zonaite in a single mining pass with a rock-fused weapon.
