Find a Pair of Separated Koroks

Look for an orange-glowing Korok calling for help in open fields, canyon paths, and forest clearings. A second Korok is visible nearby (usually 50–300 meters away) waiting sadly for its friend. Both glow and emit soft cries. The pair always appear together on the same map layer — both on the surface, both in the Depths, or both on sky islands. Activate the area's Lightroot or Skyview Tower first for a clear view.

Grab the Korok with Ultrahand

Use Ultrahand to pick up the isolated Korok. It will squirm and complain but can be carried. For surface separations, you can often carry the Korok directly to its companion on foot. For longer separations, attach the Korok to a portable vehicle — a flat plank with Zonai Wheels is the simplest design. A Steering Stick lets you drive the cart with the Korok safely secured on top.

Deliver the Korok and Collect Two Seeds

Place the Korok next to its waiting companion using Ultrahand. The pair will celebrate joyfully. Both Koroks together reward Link with two Korok Seeds — double the normal yield. This makes buddy Korok pairs one of the most efficient seed sources in the game. Mark any unvisited pairs on your map using the Hero's Path or map notes for efficient collection routes.
