Collect Clues About the Fifth Sage

After completing at least one Regional Phenomena quest, Purah at Lookout Landing mentions a mysterious fifth sage referenced in ancient texts. Speak with Josha in the underground lab at Lookout Landing — she has deciphered Zonai tablets pointing to ancient ruins in the Depths that hold the key to finding the fifth sage.

Investigate the Thunderhead Isles

Travel to the Thunderhead Isles — a cluster of sky islands above the Faron region shrouded in permanent storm clouds. You must reach them by launching from the Popla Foothills Skyview Tower. Navigate through lightning-filled skies to reach the central Thunderhead Isles, where ancient Zonai ruins contain Mineru's spirit projection.

Speak with Mineru's Spirit

Inside the Thunderhead Isles ruins, find the Purah Pad terminal that connects to Mineru's spirit. She reveals she is the Sage of Spirit — Rauru's older sister who sealed herself away during the Imprisoning War. Her physical body is stored in a construct deep in the Depths, and you need to retrieve four components to reactivate it.

Retrieve the Construct Components from the Spirit Temple

Descend into the Depths beneath the Thunderhead Isles to reach the Spirit Temple. This sprawling underground complex contains four rooms, each holding a construct body part (left arm, right arm, legs, head). Each room has a multi-step puzzle involving Zonai devices, conveyor belts, and combat encounters. Use Ultrahand and Autobuild extensively to transport the heavy components back to the central assembly chamber.

Assemble Mineru's Construct Body

Carry each retrieved component to the central platform in the Spirit Temple. Attach all four parts to the construct frame using Ultrahand. Once assembled, Mineru's spirit inhabits the construct, creating a rideable mech that Link can pilot. The construct can have weapons and shields attached to its arms using Fuse.

Defeat the Spirit Temple Guardian

A Seized Construct boss guards the temple exit. This corrupted Zonai mech must be fought while piloting Mineru's construct. Attack with the construct's fused weapons, dodge its charge attacks, and use the construct's special ground-pound to stun it. The fight takes three stun-and-attack cycles.

Claim Your Reward

Mineru awakens as the Sage of Spirit and pledges her vow. You gain the Construct companion — a unique rideable mech that can have Zonai devices and weapons attached to its arms and back. The construct is invaluable for Depths exploration and combat, functioning as a mobile battle platform.
