Step-by-Step Walkthrough
1
Arrive at Lookout Landing
After leaping from the Great Sky Island and landing on the surface of Hyrule, make your way to Lookout Landing — the fortified settlement south of the ruined Hyrule Castle. Speak with the guards at the gate who direct you to the main camp where survivors have gathered to coordinate their response to the crisis.
2
Meet Captain Hoz at the Garrison
Find Captain Hoz at the military garrison near the center of Lookout Landing. He briefs Link on the situation: Hyrule Castle has risen into the sky, Gloom is spreading from chasms opening across the land, and monsters have grown more aggressive. He directs you to speak with Purah, the lead researcher, for further instructions.
3
Speak with Purah at the Research Lab
Climb the scaffolding tower at Lookout Landing to reach Purah's lab on the upper level. She examines Link's Purah Pad and confirms the mysterious arm's abilities. Purah explains the Regional Phenomena affecting Rito Village, Goron City, Zora's Domain, and Gerudo Town, and marks them on your map as priority investigation targets.
4
Investigate the Skyview Tower
Purah asks you to activate the Lookout Landing Skyview Tower — a tall Zonai structure that can launch Link into the sky for map surveying. Enter the tower, interact with the terminal, and get launched skyward. While airborne, your Purah Pad automatically maps the surrounding Central Hyrule region, revealing terrain, landmarks, and points of interest.
5
Receive the Paraglider
After activating the Skyview Tower and surveying the land, return to Purah. She provides the Paraglider — an essential tool that lets Link glide through the air after jumping from any height. With the Paraglider in hand, you can now safely travel to the four regions experiencing phenomena and begin your journey to save Hyrule.
