Korok Quest: The Pinwheel Game

Locate a Pinwheel

Pinwheels are small orange spinning decorations placed in high-visibility spots: on top of stone pillars, at the peak of cliffs, on tree branches, and on stable rooftops. Approach within a few meters and a prompt appears. Activating the pinwheel launches a timed challenge — orange balloon targets appear in the air or on nearby surfaces. Look for them at any prominent landmark that feels slightly out of place.

Shoot All Balloon Targets in Time

When the challenge activates, draw your bow immediately. Targets are yellow-orange balloon clusters that appear in sequence or all at once depending on the variant. Some variants spawn balloons on the ground (run to them), others spawn them in the air (shoot with arrows), and some variants combine both. Use multishot bows (Three-Shot Burst or Five-Shot Spread) for air targets. The time limit is generous if you react immediately.

Collect the Korok Seed

Hitting all targets within the time limit causes a Korok to pop out of the pinwheel and reward a Korok Seed. If you miss the timer, wait a few seconds and the pinwheel resets — try again with no penalty. Keep a supply of basic arrows (not elemental) for pinwheel challenges; wasting specialty arrows on balloon targets is unnecessary as normal arrows hit just as reliably.
