Quest Overview
Gerudo Town's underground cistern, which supplies the town's water through a network of pipes, was cracked by the Upheaval's seismic activity. The water level has dropped to 20% and is falling. Town engineer Dina has identified three pipe fractures in the underground cistern network that need emergency repairs using specific materials: volcanic resin (from Eldin), adhesive moss (from Faron), and crystallized mineral sealant (found in the Gerudo Depths). Link must retrieve all three materials and bring them to Dina.

Step-by-Step Walkthrough
1
Receive the Emergency Request from Dina
Dina intercepts Link at Gerudo Town's entrance — urgent. The cistern network feeds the town's pools, cooking water, and desert hydration supply. At current leak rate, the town has four days of water remaining. Three fractures need specific sealing materials unavailable locally. Volcanic resin must come from Eldin Mine deposits near Death Mountain, adhesive moss from Faron's jungle caves, and crystallized mineral sealant from the Gerudo Depths mines.
2
Retrieve Volcanic Resin from Eldin
Travel to Eldin's northern mines. Volcanic resin deposits form in cooled lava tube walls — black crystalline substance that flows when heated and seals rigid when cooled. Use a container (Ultrahand-held stone bowl found at the mine) to collect three resin chunks. Igneo Pebblits nest in the tubes; clear them first. The resin must be kept cool for transport — the inventory auto-cools items, but don't expose it to open flame.
3
Retrieve Adhesive Moss from Faron
Travel to Faron's deep jungle cave system south of Lake Floria. Adhesive moss grows on cave walls in warm, humid cave interiors — bright orange patches visible by their slight luminescence. Peel sections with bare hands (no tools needed). The moss remains adhesive for 48 hours. Collect six hand-sized patches. Cave Horriblins patrol the ceiling; stun them with arrow headshots before entering the deeper sections.
4
Retrieve Mineral Sealant from Gerudo Depths
Descend into the Gerudo Depths via the Gerudo Highland chasms. The crystallized mineral sealant forms at the boundary between the surface limestone layer and the deeper mineral-rich Depths rock. It looks like white crystal clusters. Use a hammer-type Fused weapon to chip chunks free. Gibdo colonies nest near the mineral boundary — use fire weapons to repel them while harvesting. Collect four crystal chunks.
5
Return Materials to Dina and Seal the Cistern
Bring all three materials to Dina at the cistern access below town. She mixes the volcanic resin and mineral sealant, using the adhesive moss as the binding layer, creating a compound sealant. She descends into each fracture with Link's help (use Ultrahand to hold sections while she applies the compound). All three fractures sealed, the cistern begins refilling. Dina rewards Link with a Gerudo Scimitar, a piece of the Desert Voe Set, and her engineering notes which double as a Gerudo Depths map.
