Meet Koltin for the First Time
Find Koltin and his brother Kilton at a campfire east of Lookout Landing near the Woodland Stable area (they appear at night). Koltin is obsessed with becoming a Satori (the glowing Lord of the Mountain creature). He asks you to bring him Bubbul Gems — special gems dropped by Bubbulfrogs hiding in caves throughout Hyrule.

Find Bubbulfrogs in Caves
Every cave in Hyrule contains exactly one Bubbulfrog. These glowing green frog creatures cling to cave ceilings and walls. Enter any cave (there are over 140 caves in the game), look for the telltale green glow, and shoot the Bubbulfrog with an arrow or hit it with a melee weapon. It drops a Bubbul Gem. Tip: use your Sensor+ set to "Bubbulfrog" to detect them in caves.

Trade Gems with Koltin
Koltin appears at random locations near stables at nighttime (he teleports between locations). Each visit, trade your accumulated Bubbul Gems for increasingly rare rewards. The trade progression: Bokoblin Mask (1 gem), Moblin Mask (2 gems), Lizalfos Mask (3 gems), Lynel Mask (4 gems), Mystic Headpiece (5 gems), Mystic Robe (8 gems), Mystic Trousers (10 gems), and various monster-themed accessories.

Complete the Full Collection
Continue finding caves and trading gems until you have collected all of Koltin's rewards. The final reward requires a large number of gems. After trading enough, Koltin achieves his dream and transforms in a special cutscene. The Mystic Armor set provides the "Rupee Padding" effect — when hit, you lose rupees instead of hearts, making it useful for rich players who want damage protection.
