Speak with the Lakeside Stable Staff

Arrive at Lakeside Stable on the western shore of Lake Floria in the Faron region. The stable manager Lawdon is visibly distressed — three of his best horses refuse to leave their stalls and two traveling merchants arrived injured, describing ambushes on the coastal road north of the stable. Speak with Lawdon and the wounded merchants to learn the Lizalfos pack is operating in three separate locations along the road.

Clear the First Ambush Site: Northern Road

Head north along the coastal road from the stable. At the first bend, a group of three Blue Lizalfos are camouflaged against the rock face, indistinguishable from the stone until they lunge. Use a food buff for detection or just approach slowly to trigger their attack. Fight them on the road rather than the adjacent water — Lizalfos are faster and more dangerous in shallow water. Collect their dropped tails for cooking.

Clear the Second and Third Ambush Sites

Continue north to the second site: two Lizalfos plus one Electric Lizalfos that can stun Link. Use a wooden or non-metal shield to avoid the shock transferring on block. The third and final group lurks near a sea cave entrance — four Lizalfos including a Silver Lizalfos that drops a valuable Silver Scale. Defeating the Silver Lizalfos triggers the quest completion flag.

Return to Lawdon for Your Reward

Return to Lakeside Stable and report the roads are clear. Lawdon checks on his horses — they emerge from their stalls immediately, apparently sensing the threat is gone. As thanks, he awards three Pony Points (redeemable for stable rewards and bridles) and three Amber gemstones. The stable's expanded horse registration service also unlocks, allowing you to register up to two additional horses beyond the standard limit.
