Find the Challenge Platform

Near the Great Sky Island's southern edge, a flat stone platform holds a single Zonai Ball Dispenser and a ring target suspended between two stone columns about 30 meters away. A Zonai Construct standing beside a scoreboard will explain the challenge: launch a ball through the ring in the fewest attempts possible. Three or fewer attempts earns the top prize; more than five earns nothing.

Gather Zonai Components from Nearby Chests

Before building your launcher, open the two nearby supply chests to collect free Zonai devices: a Fan, a Spring, and a Steering Stick. These components are specifically provided for this challenge. The Fan can provide wind propulsion, the Spring offers direct impulse force, and the Steering Stick allows mid-flight guidance if attached to a glider board.

Construct Your Ball Launcher

Attach the Spring to a flat board using Ultrahand to create a ramp launcher. Position the board at the correct angle — approximately 35 degrees of elevation — aimed at the target ring. Attach the Fan behind the Spring for additional propulsion distance. Use the Ball Dispenser to place a ball at the launch end. Adjust your aim carefully: the target ring sways slightly in the sky island's updrafts.

Fire and Adjust

Activate the Fan to power the Spring, launching the ball toward the ring. If your first shot misses, observe its trajectory and adjust the board angle with Ultrahand before your next attempt. A hit through the ring's center triggers a chime and the Construct stamps your score. Complete within three shots to receive 5 Zonai Charges and a Construct Horn — a fused weapon material prized for its striking power.
