Step-by-Step Walkthrough
1
Spot a Korok Carrying a Heavy Pack
While traveling any of Hyrule's major roads, watch for a Korok hunched under an enormous backpack, crying out for help. These Koroks appear at fixed locations across the map — common spots include the Hyrule Field roads, the Akkala region trails, and paths through Lanayru. Each one needs to reach a specific companion Korok waiting somewhere nearby, sometimes on the other side of treacherous terrain.
2
Build a Transport Vehicle
Assess the terrain between the stranded Korok and its destination. For flat or slightly hilly ground, attach the Korok's pack to a simple wagon built from two boards and a few Zonai Wheels and push it. For water crossings, build a raft with a Fan. For steep climbs, a rocket-assisted sled works well. The Korok will climb into the transport once it is constructed and positioned correctly.
3
Navigate to the Companion Korok
Guide your vehicle across the terrain obstacle while keeping the Korok cargo stable. Sharp turns can tip the vehicle; steep drops can eject the Korok from the pack. Drive slowly over rough ground and use the Steering Stick for precision navigation. A yellow indicator beam points toward the companion Korok's location. The companion will be visible as another small leaf-creature waiting patiently at the destination.
4
Reunite the Koroks and Receive Seeds
When your vehicle reaches the companion Korok's location and stops, the two Koroks reunite with cheerful cries. Both Koroks reward Link with a Korok Seed each — two seeds per completed pair. There are dozens of Korok pairs scattered across Hyrule. Accumulating Korok Seeds allows Link to expand his weapon, bow, and shield slots by trading seeds to Hestu, the large dancing Korok encountered on the road to Lookout Landing.
