Travel to the Ancient Zonai Ruins
After completing at least two Regional Phenomena quests, Purah directs you to investigate ancient Zonai ruins in the Lanayru region. Travel east from Lookout Landing toward the coordinates marked on your map. The ruins are nestled in a hidden valley accessible through a narrow canyon passage flanked by weathered Zonai pillars.

Activate the Zonai Terminals
Inside the ruins, find three dormant Zonai terminals arranged in a triangular formation around a central chamber. Each terminal requires Link to use a different ability — Ultrahand to align stone keys, Recall to reverse a crumbling archway, and Ascend through a sealed ceiling — to power on the ancient systems and open the inner sanctum.

Commune with King Rauru's Spirit
In the inner sanctum, Rauru's spirit manifests and reveals the complete history of the Imprisoning War: how Ganondorf betrayed the Zonai, murdered Queen Sonia, and seized a secret stone to gain immortal power. Rauru sacrificed himself to seal Ganondorf beneath Hyrule Castle, but the seal has now broken. This knowledge updates your quest log with critical objectives.

Receive the Map Update and Story Context
Rauru provides a map update showing the location of all remaining Dragon's Tears and the approximate position of the Spirit Temple. He explains that five sages must unite to face Ganondorf — four already awakened through the Regional Phenomena and one still sealed. Your Purah Pad map is updated with new markers and lore annotations across Hyrule.
