Maren's Tip
Remember — if a shrine gives Rauru's Blessing with no puzzle inside, the real challenge was reaching the entrance. Check the surrounding area!
Walkthrough
- Step 1: Enter Morasudar Shrine in the Faron region and observe the main chamber.
- A tall stone pillar dominates the center of the room, rising approximately 12 meters from floor to ceiling.
- At its summit sits a glowing door switch — the only mechanism that opens the locked gate to the altar corridor.
- The pillar's walls are smooth and unclimbable, with no ledges or handholds, making direct climbing impossible even with maximum stamina.
- Step 2: Scan the chamber floor for the wind vent — a circular metal grate embedded in the stone floor about 3 meters to the right of the pillar's base.
- Stand directly over the vent and deploy your Paraglider.
- The updraft surging through the grate catches the glider and propels you upward rapidly, carrying you to the pillar's full height in about 4 seconds.
- Step 3: At the top of the updraft, release the Paraglider and glide horizontally toward the switch platform on the pillar's summit.
- The platform is small — roughly 2 meters across — so aim carefully.
- Land on it and activate the glowing switch by pressing A.
- The main door below slides open with a heavy grinding sound, revealing the altar corridor.
- Step 4: Drop down from the pillar (the fall is safe from this height) and enter the now-open corridor.
- Before heading to the altar, look for a second wind vent positioned against the right wall of the corridor, about halfway to the altar.
- Step 5: Stand over this second vent and deploy your Paraglider again.
- This updraft carries you to an elevated side platform near the ceiling that is invisible from ground level.
- On this platform sits a treasure chest containing a Great Thunderblade (40 attack power — one of the best electric-element weapons in Faron, devastating against water-dwelling enemies).
- Step 6: Drop back down and proceed to the altar at the corridor's end.
- Claim your Light of Blessing.
- Hidden chest: The Great Thunderblade on the elevated platform accessible via the second wind vent in the altar corridor.
- Do not skip it — this weapon is excellent for the Faron region's many water-based encounters.
- Ability needed: Paraglider is the only required tool.
- No Ultrahand, Ascend, Recall, or Fuse needed.
- Pro tip: Wind vents appear throughout Faron's overworld as well, especially near waterfalls and geothermal areas.
- Always check for vents when you see a Paraglider icon hint on your HUD — they often lead to hidden Koroks, chests, or shortcuts that save significant climbing time.
