Maren's Tip

Remember — if a shrine gives Rauru's Blessing with no puzzle inside, the real challenge was reaching the entrance. Check the surrounding area!

Walkthrough

1. Jote Shrine is a Rauru's Blessing shrine near the Woodland Tower in Faron, unlocked by the "The Forest Dweller's Sword" side quest.
2. Step 1: Speak with the shrine guardian NPC standing at the forest entrance near the base of the Woodland Tower.
3. He asks you to recover an ancient Kokiri sword lost deep in the woods.
4. Step 2: The sword is located in a hollow tree trunk about 200 meters northwest of the NPC, inside a Bokoblin camp.
5. Defeat or sneak past the three Blue Bokoblins guarding the camp, and the sword rests on a stone pedestal in the center.
6. Step 3: Pick up the Forest Dweller's Sword (it is a usable weapon with 15 attack power) and carry it back to the NPC.
7. Speaking to him with the sword in your inventory completes the quest — the sword is consumed as an offering.
8. Step 4: The shrine glows green and becomes accessible.
9. Enter and walk directly to the altar for Rauru's Blessing — no puzzle or combat inside.
10. Hidden chest: Inside the shrine, a chest sits to the right of the altar containing a Mighty Zonaite Spear.
11. Despite the shrine being a "free" blessing, the chest reward makes the quest worthwhile.
12. Pro tip: If you want to keep the Forest Dweller's Sword for yourself, duplicate it using the menu overload glitch before turning it in.
