Maren's Tip
Remember — if a shrine gives Rauru's Blessing with no puzzle inside, the real challenge was reaching the entrance. Check the surrounding area!
Walkthrough
- Step 1: Enter Angaku Shrine in the Lanayru Wetlands and immediately observe the main hazard — the entire floor is covered in shallow water that conducts electricity.
- A locked gate blocks the path forward, controlled by an electric circuit with two broken segments.
- Two metal conductor blocks sit near the entrance, and exposed copper terminals line both walls.
- Step 2: Use Ultrahand to grab the first metal block.
- Position it carefully between the left terminal pair on the wall — you must bridge the gap precisely so the block contacts both copper plates simultaneously.
- Sparks fly and a hum confirms the connection is live.
- Critical safety note: do NOT touch the metal block or stand in the water near it while the circuit is active, or you will take significant electric damage.
- Step 3: Grab the second metal block with Ultrahand and carry it to the right terminal pair.
- This one is slightly farther apart than the left pair — rotate the block 90 degrees so its longer axis bridges the wider gap.
- When both circuits close simultaneously, the locked gate ahead slides open with a mechanical grinding sound.
- Step 4: Before proceeding to the altar, check the alcove to the right of the now-open gate.
- A chest containing a Topaz (worth 180 rupees, and a key material for upgrading Rubber Armor at Great Fairy Fountains) sits against the back wall.
- Step 5: Walk through the gate to the altar and claim your Light of Blessing.
- Hidden chest: The Topaz in the right alcove past the gate — easy to miss if you walk straight to the altar.
- Ability needed: Ultrahand is the only ability required.
- Precise block placement and rotation are the core skills tested.
- Pro tip: If you get shocked, it means you are standing in the water too close to a live circuit.
- Use the dry stone platforms along the edges as safe zones while positioning blocks.
- The Rubber Armor set (available from a side quest in Lurelin Village) grants shock immunity and trivializes this shrine entirely.
