Maren's Tip

Remember — if a shrine gives Rauru's Blessing with no puzzle inside, the real challenge was reaching the entrance. Check the surrounding area!

Walkthrough

1. Step 1: Enter Gadathor Shrine in the Rimewise region.
2. The main chamber is noticeably smaller than typical shrines, with low ceilings and narrow walls.
3. Three stone blocks of varying sizes must be placed on three pressure plates to open the altar gate.
4. The catch: standard Ultrahand movements will clip the walls if you swing blocks in wide arcs.
5. Step 2: Grab Block 1 (the smallest, nearest the left wall) with Ultrahand.
6. Instead of swinging it across the room, use short quarter-turn nudges — rotate it 90 degrees at a time with minimal lateral movement.
7. Guide it to the left pressure plate using a series of small forward pushes.
8. The cramped space punishes large movements: if a block hits a wall, it bounces unpredictably and may land on the wrong side of a wall divider, requiring you to retrieve it.
9. Step 3: Block 2 sits in the center of the room and needs to reach the right pressure plate.
10. The direct path is blocked by a low stone divider.
11. Lift Block 2 with Ultrahand to ceiling height (about 2 meters), carefully slide it over the divider, then lower it onto the right plate.
12. Move slowly — the ceiling is low enough that lifting too aggressively will jam the block against the ceiling and clip it free from Ultrahand's grip.
13. Step 4: Block 3 is the largest and most awkward.
14. It is wider than the corridor leading to the corner plate.
15. The solution: tilt the block vertically using Ultrahand so its footprint becomes a narrow rectangle instead of a wide square.
16. In this vertical orientation, it fits through the corridor.
17. Slide it carefully through the gap, then lower it onto the corner plate.
18. All three plates glow gold simultaneously, and the altar gate opens.
19. Step 5: Before claiming the altar, check the wall alcove to the right of the gate — a chest containing a Sapphire (worth 260 rupees) is recessed into the wall at eye level.
20. Abilities needed: Ultrahand is the only ability required, but precision control is essential.
21. Pro tip: If you accidentally knock a block off a plate while maneuvering another block, the plate deactivates.
22. Work from the farthest plate to the nearest — place the corner plate block first, then the right plate, then the left plate.
23. This way your movements near the entrance do not disturb previously placed blocks.
