Maren's Tip
Remember — if a shrine gives Rauru's Blessing with no puzzle inside, the real challenge was reaching the entrance. Check the surrounding area!
Walkthrough
- Step 1: Maka Rah Shrine is a Rauru's Blessing shrine in the Rimewise region, unlocked by the "Tabantha Bridge Crystal" quest.
- Travel to the Tabantha Great Bridge — the massive stone bridge spanning the canyon between Hyrule Ridge and the Tabantha Frontier.
- The crystal is suspended roughly 40 meters above the bridge deck, hanging from the underside of a natural rock arch that spans the canyon above the bridge itself.
- You can spot its green glow from the bridge surface on a clear day.
- Step 2: To reach the crystal's altitude, you have two reliable approaches.
- Option A (recommended): Build a Zonai wing device on the bridge deck using one wing body and two fans.
- Ride it off the bridge edge and angle upward toward the crystal — the fans provide enough lift to reach the rock arch altitude.
- Dismount onto the arch ledge where the crystal hangs.
- Option B: Look for the thermal updraft column rising from the canyon floor beneath the bridge.
- Stand on the bridge railing and deploy your Paraglider over the updraft — it carries you upward past the bridge towers to the arch level.
- Glide horizontally to the crystal's position.
- Step 3: Once at the crystal's altitude, grab it with Ultrahand.
- The crystal is attached to a vine — pulling it with Ultrahand snaps the vine automatically.
- Do not drop the crystal into the canyon below or it respawns at its original position after 30 seconds.
- Step 4: Carry or throw the crystal to the receptacle mounted on the bridge's central stone pillar.
- The receptacle is a green glowing ring on the pillar's east-facing ledge, about 5 meters below the bridge deck.
- You can paraglide down to it while holding the crystal with Ultrahand, or carefully lower the crystal from the bridge deck using Ultrahand's extended reach.
- Step 5: When the crystal clicks into the receptacle, the shrine materializes on the east bank of the bridge with a burst of green light.
- Walk inside — this is a pure Rauru's Blessing shrine with no further puzzle or combat.
- Proceed directly to the altar and claim your Light of Blessing.
- Hidden chest: Inside the shrine, a chest to the right of the altar path contains a Ruby (worth 210 rupees).
- Ability needed: Ultrahand is essential for grabbing and transporting the crystal.
- Paraglider is required for the updraft approach.
- No abilities needed inside the shrine itself.
- Pro tip: The Tabantha Great Bridge is an excellent fast-travel anchor point for reaching both the Rito Village region to the northwest and the Hyrule Ridge region to the southeast.
- Place a Travel Medallion on the bridge after completing this shrine for convenient access to both areas.
