Akinok Shrine

Maren's Tip

Remember — if a shrine gives Rauru's Blessing with no puzzle inside, the real challenge was reaching the entrance. Check the surrounding area!

Walkthrough

1. Step 1: Before entering Akinok Shrine in the Depths region, equip Brightbloom Seeds to your bow or have them ready in your inventory.
2. The Depths shrines are pitch dark inside, and this one has no ambient light sources — you will be navigating entirely by Brightbloom illumination.
3. Step 2: Enter the shrine and immediately throw a Brightbloom Seed forward onto the ground.
4. It blooms into a glowing plant that illuminates a 10-meter radius, revealing the chamber layout.
5. The room is larger than it initially appears — roughly 25 meters wide and 30 meters deep, with three pressure plates hidden at different positions in the darkness.
6. Step 3: Throw a second Brightbloom Seed toward the left side of the room.
7. The first pressure plate is approximately 10 meters forward and to the left, identifiable by a faint green glow around its edges.
8. Walk onto it to activate it — a chime sounds and the plate locks in the depressed position.
9. Step 4: Throw a third Brightbloom Seed toward the center of the room.
10. The second pressure plate is behind a crumbled stone column in the center — the column partially obscures it from the entrance, making it easy to miss.
11. Navigate around the column debris and step onto the plate.
12. A second chime sounds.
13. Step 5: The third pressure plate is elevated on a raised stone platform about 1.5 meters high — you cannot simply walk onto it.
14. Throw a Brightbloom Seed onto the platform to confirm its location.
15. Use Ultrahand to grab one of the loose stone blocks scattered near the crumbled column and carry it to the raised platform.
16. Place the block directly onto the pressure plate — its weight activates the plate.
17. A third chime sounds and the altar gate slides open with a metallic grinding noise.
18. Step 6: Before proceeding to the altar, throw one more Brightbloom Seed toward the right wall.
19. A chest sits against the wall in an alcove, containing a Pristine Weapon — a Soldier Construct III Horn fused to a Zonaite Longsword (28 attack power, excellent for Depths exploration).
20. Collect it, then walk through the gate to claim the Light of Blessing.
21. Abilities needed: Ultrahand (to place the block on the elevated plate).
22. Pro tip: If you run low on Brightbloom Seeds, you can use fire arrows shot at the ground as temporary light sources — they burn for about 8 seconds each.
23. Also, the Miner's Set armor glows in the dark and provides passive illumination sufficient to see about 3 meters ahead, reducing your Brightbloom dependency.
