Remember — if a shrine gives Rauru's Blessing with no puzzle inside, the real challenge was reaching the entrance. Check the surrounding area!

Walkthrough

1. An Upright Device.
2. Makasura Shrine is in the hills south of Lookout Landing and teaches creative Zonai device orientation — a skill you will use constantly.
3. Step 1: In the first room, you see a Zonai Fan lying flat on the floor next to a wheeled cart.
4. The fan does nothing in this orientation.
5. Use Ultrahand to pick up the fan and rotate it 90 degrees so it stands upright (vertical).
6. Attach the upright fan to the back of the wheeled cart — now the fan's thrust will push the cart forward horizontally.
7. Step 2: Board the cart and hit the fan with a weapon or arrow to activate it.
8. Ride the self-propelled cart across the wide gap to the second room.
9. Step 3: In room two, another Zonai Fan needs to be attached to a fixed platform — but this time pointing straight up.
10. Attach the fan facing upward, activate it, and it creates a powerful updraft column.
11. Step on the platform, deploy your Paraglider, and ride the updraft to the altar ledge above.
12. Hidden chest: In the second room, before creating the updraft, look to the left wall.
13. A narrow ledge has a chest containing a Zonaite Shield.
14. Use the updraft you created to glide sideways to the ledge, grab the chest, then glide back to the altar platform.
15. Pro tip: The principle of this shrine — reorienting devices to change their function — applies everywhere in TotK.
16. Fans push things in the direction they face; rockets launch the direction they point; flame emitters heat whatever they aim at.
