Remember — if a shrine gives Rauru's Blessing with no puzzle inside, the real challenge was reaching the entrance. Check the surrounding area!

Walkthrough

1. Kyononis Shrine is located just southeast of Lookout Landing, making it one of the first shrines most players encounter after leaving the Great Sky Island.
2. The puzzle tests both Ultrahand and Ascend in combination.
3. Step 1: Enter the shrine and face a wide gap with a low ceiling overhead.
4. Grab the long stone plank leaning against the left wall using Ultrahand.
5. Rotate it horizontal and carefully lay it across the gap — alignment must be precise as the plank barely spans the distance.
6. Walk across.
7. Step 2: On the far ledge, look up — a thin ceiling section (lighter texture) is directly above the next gap.
8. Stand beneath it and activate Ascend to phase through into the upper corridor.
9. Step 3: Follow the upper corridor to reach the altar room.
10. Hidden chest: After ascending, instead of heading straight to the altar, turn around and look behind you.
11. A chest containing a Soldier's Shield sits on a ledge just past the Ascend exit point.
12. Shortcut for returning players: If you have high stamina, you can skip the plank bridge entirely by sprinting and jumping across the gap, then wall-climbing the far side — but the intended solution teaches proper Ultrahand-to-Ascend sequencing that is essential for later shrines.
